This mantis shrimp was kind enough to pose for 10-12 images before the photographer ran out of film. It was less skittish than other mantis shrimp found in the open. Generally Mantis shrimp exhibit some amount of curiosity about divers but they are very skittish unless approached very slowly and carefully. Photo was taken in Sulawesi Indonesia with a Nikonos RS, 50 mm lens and tele-extender.
